In a spirited display of support, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee graced the program organized by the Mohammedan Sporting Club on Khela Hobe Day. The event was marked by enthusiasm and a renewed sense of determination among the sporting community. During her address, the Chief Minister highlighted the inclusivity of the sports arena, emphasizing that if both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan have been welcomed into the Indian Super League (ISL), there is no reason why Mohammedan Sporting cannot follow.
The Chief Minister underlined the importance of persistence and a resolute mindset in achieving goals. Her words resonated with the essence of "Khela Hobe" , a phrase that has become synonymous with her political ideology.
In a further show of her commitment to sports development, Mamata Banerjee announced a financial aid of Rs 60 lakh for Mohammedan Sporting. This contribution is intended to bolster the club's efforts in improving their stadium facilities. The assistance aligns with the Chief Minister's vision to promote sports infrastructure and opportunities at the grassroots level.
